We ate breakfast at the Whistle Stop Restaurant then waited for our train home. The train was 13 hours late because someone stepped in front of a train in Washington.

Lunch at the Park Cafe
1.5 Hour Scenic Boat Cruise on St. Mary's Lake Including a Stop at Baring Falls
The tour begins at the Rising Sun boat dock, centrally located on St. Mary Lake, approximately five miles from Glacier National Park’s east entrance at the town of St. Mary. Conveniently accessible right off of the Going-to-the-Sun road, and offering vastly different views on the water not visible from the road, the boat will take you on a close drive-by of the famed Wild Goose Island and provides epic, 360 degree views of the surrounding peaks. You’ll see Sexton Glacier, tiny islands, the remnants of Great Northern Railway President Louis Hill’s private cabin, and brightly colored mountainsides.
We then drove back to Glacier Park Lodge and returned our car rentals for our last nigh in the park.

Rick, Matt, Andrea and Rebecca took the 4.5 hour Eastern Alpine Red Bus Tour for $40 per person.
We then went shopping at the St. Mary Lodge and ate dinner at the Two Sisters Cafe.

left the Many Glacier Hotel at 9:30 am to hike to Iceberg Lake. We started the 9.6 mile round trip hike to Iceberg Lake at 10:00 am which began at the Iceberg Ptarmigan Trailhead located west of the Many Glacier Hotel. We followed the Ptarmigan Trail through the forest 2.6 miles to Ptarmigan Falls. Past the falls, we came to a trail junction. We took the Iceberg Trail left. We ascended 1200 feet to 6100 feet, hiking over 2.2 miles along the south side of Ptarmigan Wall to Iceberg Lake. We arrived at Iceberg Lake at 1:10 pm, where we spent the next 1 hour and 20 minutes eating lunch and admiring the scenery. The threat of a storm rolling in over the mountains caused us to pack up and start the 4.8 mile descent back to our cars. Jim, Cassie and Trevor left first and ran into a hail storm on the trail. The rest of us had rain for the first 2 miles, after which the sun came out again. We arrived back at our cars at 5:45 pm and then drove the 15 minutes back to Many Glacier Hotel.

On Monday August 8th, 2011 we walked to the Dollar Rent A Car and picked up our car rentals for the week, after eating breakfast in Glacier Park Lodge.
Rick rented a mini-van for $449.75 Jim rented an intermediate car for $299.75 The Kasper's rented a mid-size car for $349.75
Jim, Cassie and Trevor spent the day at the Many Glacier Hotel, after leaving Glacier Park Lodge.
After checking out of the Glacier Park Lodge, Rick's family and the Kasper's drove 1.5 hours to West Glacier and had lunch at the West Glacier Restaurant.
After lunch we drove 1 mile to Kruger Helicop-Tours where the Kasper's took a 30 minute tour of Glacier National Park at 1:00 pm and the Storey's took a 1 hour tour of Glacier National Park and Waterton National Park, Alberta at 1:45 pm.
After our tours we drove back to East Glacier and checked into the Many Glacier Hotel.
We all had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel.
Here were the cost of 4 nights at the Many Glacier Hotel.

Amtrak Empire Builder Train 7 arrived at the
East Glacier Park train station at 8:35 pm,
1 hour and 55 minutes late.
We all checked into
Glacier Park Lodge at 9:05 pm.

and the Kasper's had 4 lower level coach seats.
