Preceded in death by wife, former Ella Mae Eckenrode, Dec. 15, 1946, and sons Joseph and John. Survived by these children: Mrs. Magdalen Moore, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Florence McGlynn and Robert, both of Hastings; Mrs. Louise Dietrick, Patton, R. D.; Mrs. Anna Stewart, Black Lick; and Mrs. Camille Burniston, Erie; also 24 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Last of a family of 12. Cashier of former Hastings Bank for 44 years. Member of former Hastings School Board for 46 years. An organizer of Hastings Volunteer Fire Company and Northern Cambria Volunteer Firemen's Association. Member of Hastings Lodge 353, LOOM, and Holy Name Society and Rosary Confraternity, both of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hastings. Friends received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Monday at Easly & Easly Funeral Home, Hastings, where Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday by Holy Name Society and at 8 p.m. Monday by Rosary Confraternity. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hastings, the Rev. Terrance Rogan, OSB. Interment, church cemetery.

Hastings-Mrs. Ella Mae (Eckenrode) Buck, 60, wife of M. L. Buck, Hastings, died at 3:40 p.m. yesterday at her home. She was born in Carrolltown on Dec. 29, 1885, a daughter of Andrew and Magdalen (Gaunter) Eckenrode. She and Mr. Buck were married 42 years ago.
Surviving are her husband and seven children - Mrs. Magdalen Moore, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Florence McGlynn, Hastings; Mrs. Louise Dietrick and John Buck, both of Patton; Mrs. Anna Stewart, Black Lick; Mrs. Camille Westover, Erie, and Robert Buck, at home. One son, Joseph, preceded her in death.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and these sisters: Mrs. Rosetta Donahue, Carrolltown; Mrs. Mallie Rively, Patton; Mrs. Stella Sanford, Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Myrtle Murphy and Mrs. Vera Kelly, both of Detroit, Mich. Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
Mrs. Buck was a member of the Rosary Confraternity of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and of Court of Our Lady of Victory, CDA, Barnesboro.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard's Church with Rev. Father Raymond Balko officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetary under direction of the Easly Funeral Home, Hastings. Friends are being received at the Buck home.
