PETER J. KASPER
Funeral services will be held in St Ignatius Church tomorrow morning for Peter J. Kasper. 6414 Magnolia av., pioneer wholesale grocer, who died Monday at the age of 84. Mr. Kasper was associated for a time with the late Franklin McVeagh, and later organized the firm of Durand & Kasper. In 1921 his firm joined with the McNeill Higgins & Henry Horner companies to become the Wholesale Grocers Corporation.
In 1925 he established a preserve manufacturing firm as Peter J. Kasper Son’s Company, after Wholesale Grocers had become Durand, McNeill & Horner.
He is survived by his widow, Mary and four sons, William H., Simeon M., Robert and Frederick J.
